Terema completes DoH contract with outstandingly successful results.
Terema were engaged by the DoH to provide training for the Nurse Leadership in Urgent Care programme. Overseen, by Sir Jonathan Asbridge, former President of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the programme was delivered across the UK to more than 100 nurses from Urgent and Unscheduled Care. The success has been highlighted through a number of case studies and sustained improvement.
Some of these case studies are in our resources section which can be accessed by registered users of the website.
The 'Drug Error Incident Decision Tree' was developed in conjunction with Terema by two Senior Nurses in Lewisham. They took the learning from the Terema programme and applied it to an issue which caused concern in their daily lives. Their paper describing it was published in Nursing Standard. The decision tree is being trialled in a number of hospitals and Trusts across the country.
The 'Equipment case study UHCW' describes the application of human factors insights to the use of new monitors which were provided as part of the move to a new PFI hospital.
'Nurse Leadership Case Studies' contains more information about changes to practice which resulted from the programme.
